Orients Digit has officially become a member of XBRL Europe, marking a significant milestone as the first private-sector representative from the Baltic region to join the organization.

XBRL Europe*, a European non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the XBRL standard, brings together regulators, institutions, and industry leaders to improve transparency, comparability, and trust in business reporting. The Orients Digit membership comes at a pivotal time for digital reporting in Europe, as regulatory initiatives such as the upcoming European Single Access Point (ESAP)** are accelerating the demand for high-quality, structured digital data.

“We are very pleased to welcome Orients Digit as a new member of XBRL Europe. Their strong expertise in digital reporting, ESEF, and sustainability reporting further strengthens our community and reflects the growing importance of high-quality structured data across Europe. We look forward to their active contribution, particularly in advancing digital reporting in the Baltic region,” said Elina Koskentalo, CEO of XBRL Europe.

Orients Digit has built a strong reputation for its long-standing work in European Single Electronic Format (ESEF) compliance, implementation of XBRL projects for banks and other financial institutions, and providing iXBRL sustainability reporting solutions.

"We are delighted to officially join the XBRL Europe family as the first private member from the Baltics. Digital reporting is embedded in our DNA, and we strongly believe in advancing the expertise of accounting, sustainability, and audit professionals in this field. Access to the knowledge and experience of the European XBRL community is essential for building trust in XBRL data across the region, and we are pleased to contribute to this important mission," said Dr. Jekaterina Novicka, Partner of Orients Digit.

While IT tools enable iXBRL reporting, responsibility still remains with people. The shift to iXBRL is not just a technology project, but a capability-building journey that is reshaping how companies approach corporate information governance. In this context, membership in XBRL Europe is an important step for Orients Digit in strengthening its leading expert position in the market.

** European Single Access Point (ESAP) is expected to be launched in 2027, and it will centralize access to financial and sustainability data across the EU, relying on standardized, machine-readable formats like XBRL and highlighting the importance of digital reporting, ESEF, and sustainability expertise.
